The 8P8C (8 position 8 contact, also called 8 position 8 conductor and RJ45 ) plug is the male type of modular connector commonly used for Ethernet over twisted-pair applications, where the plug on each end terminated using the T568A or T568B pin/pair assignments that are defined in ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 standard.
